I have always realized and appreciated the importance of Easter but I have never been impacted by the reality of what Christ did until today. Every year I celebrate Easter and hang out with family, do an easter egg hunt, yada yada yada... But this morning every song we sang talked about what Christ did for me on that cross. I feel as if I am so undeserving of this grace and sacrifice. I have done nothing to deserve this gift that God has freely given me. I heard a friend say "This should change the way you live your life." I found myself realizing that it hasn't. And that broke my heart. With tears running down my cheeks I found myself broken before the feet of my Savior. All that to say that I have a new appreciation for what Christ did for me. In the hymn Christ the Lord Is Risen Today there are two lines that stick out to me... "Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!" Christ has already done the work, He has already fought the fight and He won. All I have to do is live my life in such a way that is glorifying to Him.

One of the Cool Kids

I was told that I needed to have a blog because all the cool kids were doing it. So here I am...part of the cool crowd! :-)

I am writing this as my sad attempt to stay awake during my 8am World Civilizations class. It's rough, believe me. So inbetween notes on the society of Columbus I will blog.

Life has been amazing lately. Zach Bay and I are dating which makes me incredibly happy. He is an amazing man and I am lucky to be his girlfriend. School is going well. I have a full load of 18 units and I am working at Olive Garden about 16 hours a week. Disciples Church is off and running and I have been asked to be our Director of Children's Ministries. I am so excited about what God is doing in the lives of everyone involved in this new church. Please continue to pray for us as we seek God and want to do His will.

I love being busy so this full semester should be fun!
